Terms of Use

Last updated September 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of ScrollBack — the website scroll-back.com, the web app, and the iPhone app. By using any of them, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use ScrollBack.

  1. Who you are contracting with

ScrollBack is published by Félix Thiollier, 38 avenue des Ternes, 75017 Paris, France, contactable at felixthiollier63@gmail.com.

  2. What the service does

ScrollBack is a personal utility. You import the data export that TikTok provides about your own account, and ScrollBack re-sorts the saved and favorited videos it contains so the oldest appear first, with a month filter and a full-screen player. It reads a file you already own; it does not connect to your TikTok account, and it cannot post, delete or change anything there.

ScrollBack is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.

  3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ScrollBack. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.

  4. Your account

The web app creates an anonymous account for you automatically so you can try it without signing up. Adding an email address and a password is optional, and is what lets you keep your subscription when you change browser or device, or move between the website and the iPhone app.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the activity that takes place under your account, and you agree that the information you give us is accurate.

  5. How you may use it

You are solely responsible for the data you import, and you confirm you have the right to access and use it.

    You agree not to:

    • use ScrollBack for any unlawful purpose
    • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it
    • interfere with or disrupt its servers or infrastructure
    • use it to infringe anyone's intellectual property rights
    • share your account credentials with third parties
    • circumvent access restrictions or usage limits
  6. Plans and payment

ScrollBack is free to try: the free tier lets you open 5 videos, with no payment and no card required. Unlimited access is sold on two plans:

    • Weekly — $4.99 per week, renewing automatically until cancelled
    • Lifetime — $29.99 once, with no renewal and nothing to cancel

On the website, payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it beforehand, and you can cancel at any time from the billing portal reachable in the app's settings; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply in your country.

In the iPhone app, payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. A subscription bought there renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and is managed and cancelled through your Apple ID settings rather than through us.

Refunds for purchases made on the App Store are handled by Apple under its own refund policy. For purchases made on the website, contact us — we will look at any reasonable request.

  7. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because ScrollBack gives you access to the paid features immediately after payment, you expressly ask for that immediate performance when you subscribe, and you acknowledge that you consequently lose your right of withdrawal once access has been supplied, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

  8. Intellectual property

ScrollBack — its design, code, features and branding — belongs to Félix Thiollier and is protected by intellectual property law.

The videos you view remain the property of their creators and of TikTok. ScrollBack claims no ownership of them, and it neither downloads, stores nor redistributes video content: videos play from their original TikTok URLs.

  9. No warranty

ScrollBack is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. In particular we cannot guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that every thumbnail will load, or that it will work on every device and operating system version.

What you can watch depends on TikTok. A video whose creator has deleted it, or which TikTok has made private or removed, can no longer be played anywhere, including through ScrollBack.

  10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Félix Thiollier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of ScrollBack, including loss of data, loss of profits or interruption of service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

  11. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

When your account ends, your right to use ScrollBack stops immediately. A subscription bought on the App Store must also be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings — deleting your account does not cancel it.

  12. Changes to these terms

We may modify these terms. The updated version takes effect when it is posted on this page, and the date at the top will change. If you keep using ScrollBack afterwards, you accept the new terms.

  13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France — without prejudice to the rules that let a consumer bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence.

Before going to court, please write to us: most problems are settled by email. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

  14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable or invalid, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force.
